Altar servers play an important role in the celebration of the Holy Mass and are a valuable asset to the priest and parish community. To serve this noble ministry, we require that:
- You come to meetings and practices.
- Be committed to your schedule… know when you are scheduled /come when you are scheduled/ find a substitute when you cannot come/ and most of all….. come on time. ( Only two unscheduled absences are allowed a year, then you will be placed in the inactive list)
- Come ready to serve the Lord with gladness.
- Know what to do and ask when you don’t.
- Treat the people of the church, the house of the church and all the things in it with love and respect. If you are baptized Catholic, have received Holy Communion and will be in 5th grade this September, 2008 and willing to commit to serve the altar of the Lord through this ministry, please download an application form and return to the Rectory. Formation and workshops will be announced at a later date.
